How many tetanus shots are administered?
A tetanus shot is sufficient; tetanus treatment can be divided into tetanus toxoid, which requires a skin test, and tetanus immunoglobulin, which does not require a skin test. The tetanus bacillus is commonly found in anaerobic wounds and heavily contaminated wounds, such as those contaminated with soil and rust etc., which can lead to colonization of tetanus bacilli on human mucous membranes and invasion of the body, producing toxins that affect the jaw muscles and respiratory muscles, causing difficulty in breathing and, in severe cases, endangering life. Therefore, for patients who need antitetanus treatment, it is imperative to undergo such treatment, generally with just one injection.

Is intestinal obstruction dangerous?
Intestinal obstruction is a relatively dangerous and common emergency condition in general surgery. It is a disease caused by an obstruction to the passage of intestinal contents, categorized by its causes into mechanical intestinal obstruction, dynamic intestinal obstruction, and vascular intestinal obstruction, among which vascular intestinal obstruction is particularly dangerous. Based on blood circulation in the intestinal wall, it is divided into simple intestinal obstruction and strangulated intestinal obstruction, with strangulated intestinal obstruction being more dangerous as it can easily lead to ischemic necrosis of the intestines. According to the degree of obstruction, it is classified into partial intestinal obstruction and complete intestinal obstruction, with the latter being more dangerous. Intestinal obstruction, especially strangulated or vascular intestinal obstruction, can lead to obstructed blood circulation in the intestinal wall, resulting in ischemic necrosis and possibly perforation, making it a very dangerous condition.

Does a tetanus shot stimulate the brain?
Tetanus shot, if administering tetanus toxoid, a skin test is required before injection. If the skin test is negative and there is no allergy, then the injection can proceed without stimulating the brain. A small proportion of patients undergoing anti-tetanus treatment might experience some uncomfortable reactions, commonly allergies, fever, and symptoms of vomiting. Generally, these can be alleviated with rest or symptomatic treatment. Only less than 1% of patients may experience seizures or coma, which are very rare reactions. If such reactions occur, it is urgent to go to a formal hospital for symptomatic and supportive treatment. For the vast majority of tetanus shots, if administered in a formal hospital and the patient has a negative skin test, or if given tetanus immunoglobulin, it does not stimulate the brain.

How to treat hemorrhoids, bloody stool, and anal fissures?
Hemorrhoids and anal fissures are two different conditions. Generally, the early treatment for anal fissures is similar to that for early hemorrhoids, which is conservative treatment. This includes ensuring smooth bowel movements, preventing constipation, avoiding dry stools, preventing prolonged bowel movements, and avoiding sitting still for long periods. If the amount of bleeding is small, conservative treatment as mentioned above, along with the application of local medication around the anus, can control the symptoms. Regularly consume vegetables and dietary fiber. If there is severe bleeding from hemorrhoids or severe pain due to a large fissure in anal fissures, relevant examinations should be conducted. After ruling out other conditions, surgery may be necessary.

How many days after a tetanus shot should you not drink alcohol?
Tetanus injections are divided into tetanus toxoid, which requires a skin test, and tetanus immunoglobulin, which does not require a skin test. It is advised not to drink alcohol before receiving a tetanus toxoid injection, as alcohol can cause dilation of the capillaries throughout the body, leading to flushed skin, which can affect the outcome of the skin test and result in false positive or false negative results, impacting treatment. Wounds requiring tetanus injections are generally either very deep, severely contaminated, or involve an open fracture, typically indicating a severe wound. It is advised not to consume alcohol during the wound healing period to avoid delaying recovery. Therefore, alcohol should be avoided for 24 hours before the tetanus shot and during the subsequent recovery period of the wound.

Causes of Appendicitis
The appendix is connected to the cecum at one end, has a narrow lumen, and is rich in lymphatic tissue. The anatomical basis of the appendix makes it prone to inflammation. Generally, appendicitis is caused by different obstructions in the appendix, such as fecaliths, fecal masses, food residues, and parasites like roundworms, which can all lead to obstruction of the appendix and trigger acute appendicitis. Additionally, gastrointestinal dysfunction can also cause spasms and contractions of the muscles in the appendix wall, affecting the emptying of the appendix and its blood circulation, leading to inflammation of the appendix. Appendicitis requires timely treatment, and surgery might be necessary for symptomatic support.

Is tetanus easy to infect?
Tetanus is not easily contracted.Tetanus bacilli belong to anaerobes, and are prone to occur in conditions where the wounds are deep, in an anoxic or low oxygen situation, heavily contaminated wounds such as with dirt or rust, and in cases of open fractures with large wounds. In these situations, tetanus bacilli can colonize the skin and mucous membranes, producing neurotoxins that lead to a series of complications. Therefore, anti-tetanus treatment must be conducted for wounds in an anaerobic environment, such as heavily arsenic-contaminated wounds.For routine wounds that are shallow and small, it is sufficient to change the dressing.

Do hemorrhoids bleed?
Hemorrhoids can progress to a stage where there is rectal bleeding characterized by bright red blood that is separate from the stool. This is caused by the severe tortuosity and dilation of the superior hemorrhoidal veins. As the hemorrhoids worsen, congestion and dilation of the hemorrhoidal venous plexus become more pronounced. In the presence of bowel dysfunction and hard stools, the hemorrhoidal venous plexus can be injured, leading to rupture and bleeding. Initially, the bleeding is typically minimal yet frequent. Over time, this may lead to frequent and substantial bleeding. Chronic bleeding from hemorrhoids can cause chronic blood loss anemia, which impacts the physical and mental health of the individual.

Can I take a bath after getting a tetanus shot?
It's not recommended to take a bath immediately after receiving a tetanus shot. First, the wound requiring a tetanus shot may either be deep, heavily contaminated, or relatively large. After receiving a tetanus shot in the buttocks or the deltoid muscle of the upper arm, it is essential to enhance wound dressing changes and keep the wound dry, which is why bathing is not advised. If it's just a simple tetanus injection site, it can generally be exposed to water a few hours later. However, other wounds on the body should be kept dry. Therefore, it is better to take a bath when wounds on other parts of the body have healed well to avoid worsening infections and delaying healing.
