Are common warts and genital warts the same?

Common warts and genital warts are different. Although both common warts and genital warts are caused by human papillomavirus (HPV) infection, they belong to different subtypes of the virus, and their routes of infection also vary. Common contact or touching objects contaminated with the virus that causes common warts can lead to infection, and the affected areas can be located throughout various parts of the body, including the external genitalia, genitals, and perianal area. Genital warts are primarily transmitted through sexual contact and are a sexually transmitted disease. This disease is generally spread through sexual intercourse, leading to cross-infection between partners. The most common locations for genital warts are the external genitalia, perianal area, and the mouth. Genital warts generally do not grow on normal skin. Once genital warts appear, the treatment period is longer, and the recurrence rate is higher. Common warts usually can be treated successfully with one or two conventional treatments.

How to treat seborrheic hair loss?

Seborrheic alopecia, also medically known as androgenetic alopecia, is associated with excessive secretion of sebum by the sebaceous glands, consumption of spicy and stimulating foods, or frequent staying up late. Most patients have a certain genetic predisposition, with parents also displaying similar hair loss. Upon encountering this condition, it is necessary to treat it with medication. The most commonly used medications include Vitamin B6 tablets, finasteride tablets, and anti-grease hair growth tablets. These medications require long-term usage, and the treatment period is relatively long, lasting at least one to three months or more, to potentially control the condition. Topical medications can include the use of minoxidil solution. It is important to maintain a proper diet and lifestyle, strengthened exercise, avoiding spicy and stimulating foods, and persisting long-term to possibly prevent the recurrence of the condition.

How to treat acne scars and keloids

In general, acne patients do not easily develop scar nodules after proper treatment. The occurrence of scar nodules is mostly related to one's constitution, such as a scar-prone constitution. Some patients have larger, more severely infected acne, and improper treatment can lead to further infection, resulting in hypertrophic scarring after healing. Treating scar nodules can be quite troublesome; the most common approach is still local medication and injections, usually two to three sessions, after which the scar nodules gradually shrink, soften, and become smaller, but they do not completely disappear. If the hypertrophic scarring is not very prominent, one can visit the dermatology department of a reputable hospital and use fractional laser treatment for repair, but no matter which method is employed, it is not possible to perfectly resolve the issue.

Post-laser treatment care for syringoma

Syringoma is a type of benign proliferation that mostly occurs around the eyes. After treatment with laser surgery, it is important to prevent recurrence of the condition. Avoid spicy and irritating food, try not to stay up late, and avoid anxiety and stress. Do not use cosmetics around the eyes indiscriminately, especially eye creams or greasy cosmetics, as they can easily lead to recurrence of the condition. After the laser treatment, the local wound mostly heals gradually within about a week. If swelling and redness persist, it may be appropriate to take oral and topical anti-inflammatory medications. Additionally, applying ice can help reduce the swelling more quickly. It is crucial to maintain a proper diet and lifestyle habits to prevent the recurrence of the condition.

Does alopecia areata have anything to do with immunity?

There are many causes of alopecia areata. In general, alopecia areata in children is mostly related to their dietary habits, such as being picky eaters, having unbalanced nutrition, or being inherently weak in constitution. In adolescents or during puberty, it is mostly related to personal lifestyle habits, such as anxiety, tension, poor mood, or long-term consumption of greasy, spicy, and sweet foods. In the elderly, some cases may be related to other internal diseases, such as those of the liver or kidneys, and some cases may appear in patients with anemia. Overall, it is somewhat related to immunity, but the specific causes vary from person to person.

Can genital warts be completely cured?

Genital warts are caused by an infection with the papillomavirus, commonly known as the HPV virus. Once infected, the treatment can be quite troublesome, but with long-term, standardized, and effective treatment, it is entirely curable. The outbreak of this disease is generally directly related to sexual contact, but some people might also get infected by staying in hotels, using public toilets, or bathing in public baths. The most common treatment involves using laser to remove the warty growths, followed by antiviral and immune-boosting medications. Additionally, it is important to exercise regularly to enhance immunity, avoid spicy and irritating foods, abstain from alcohol, and ensure that worn underwear is sun-dried and disinfected to prevent cross-infection. During the treatment period, sexual contact should be avoided.

Can acute urticaria turn into chronic urticaria?

Acute urticaria generally heals quickly if treated properly after onset. If the treatment is delayed or improper, and the disease is not completely cured within a month and a half, it automatically enters a chronic phase. Treatment in the chronic phase is more troublesome, requiring long-term medication. Therefore, once this condition is detected, it is crucial to seek formal treatment, avoid spicy and irritating foods, enhance exercise, strengthen immunity, and avoid buying and using medications arbitrarily, as this could complicate treatment if it becomes chronic. For severe cases of acute urticaria, if feasible, patients can also go to the dermatology department of a regular hospital for infusion therapy, which can speed up recovery. (Please use medication under the guidance of a doctor.)

Can sebaceous cysts heal by themselves?

Sebaceous cysts are benign proliferations that form under the skin due to the overactive secretion of the sebaceous glands themselves. They contain a tofu-dregs-like substance encased in a sac, which means that conventional oral and topical medications cannot eliminate it, hence, there is no self-healing. Once a sebaceous cyst is discovered, it is crucial to visit a dermatologist at a reputable hospital to have a minor surgery performed for complete removal, which is the only way to thoroughly address the issue. It is also important to maintain a healthy diet and lifestyle, avoid spicy and irritating foods, avoid staying up late, manage anxiety, exercise regularly, bathe frequently, and limit having small animals at home, as well as to regularly sun and disinfect clothes, bedding, and covers.

How to cure tinea cruris completely?

Tinea cruris is a disease caused by fungal infection, characterized by high contagiosity and recurrence. Generally, it is relatively simple to completely cure this disease using antifungal creams applied continuously for one to two months. In some cases, inappropriate treatment methods or re-infection after recovery are the main factors for its recurrence. The treatment period must be long, and after recovery, one should avoid soaking in public baths and swimming. It’s also advised not to wear slippers indiscriminately to prevent athlete's foot. If infected with athlete's foot, socks and underwear should be washed separately. It is recommended not to keep small animals, to bathe frequently, and not to share towels and bath scrubs.

The difference between hyperhidrosis and body odor

Hyperhidrosis is generally caused by one's endocrine issues or hormonal imbalances, leading to excessive sweating. The primary symptom is excessive sweating in the hands; sweating tends to increase with physical activity or handwork. Some patients also experience excessive sweating in the armpits and around the upper thighs. Bromhidrosis is a genetically inherited disease characterized by excessive sweating and unpleasant odors in the armpits, demonstrating a familial tendency. These two conditions are distinct and require different treatments. Bromhidrosis is mainly treated surgically to completely remove the sweat glands and reduce the odor, although it cannot be completely cured. In contrast, hyperhidrosis can be managed through self-regulation and using traditional Chinese medicine to adjust the endocrine balance, which can be effective for treatment.
