Where does bladder stones hurt?
Patients with bladder stones experience lower abdominal pain and pain during urination. Bladder stones primarily form when kidney stones move down into the bladder, or due to urinary obstruction that prevents urine from being completely expelled, accumulating in the bladder and forming stones. The treatment of bladder stones depends on their specific size, and options include extracorporeal shock wave lithotripsy or surgical treatment.
What are the clinical manifestations of urinary incontinence?
The clinical manifestation of urinary incontinence is primarily the involuntary leakage of urine, where the patient lacks the ability to control urination. Diagnosis mainly involves reviewing the patient's medical history and a physical examination, which in most cases is sufficient to understand the type and cause of the incontinence. A urodynamic test is crucial for a definitive diagnosis. The contents of the urodynamic examination include the assessment of bladder and urethral function. If a patient exhibits the aforementioned symptoms, they should visit the urology department of a hospital for formal evaluation and treatment.
Does cystitis require surgery?
Patients with cystitis do not need surgery. Cystitis mainly occurs when the bladder's mucous membrane is infected by bacteria, causing inflammation inside the bladder. Patients often experience symptoms such as frequent urination, urgent urination, painful urination, and lower abdominal pain. Cystitis is primarily treated with medication, usually under a doctor’s guidance, either orally or through intravenous antibiotics. Additionally, patients are advised to drink more water and urinate frequently, which generally can cure cystitis.
Where is the best place to massage for kidney stones?
Patients with kidney stones will find that massage is ineffective. For those with stones smaller than 0.5 cm, engaging in more physical activity such as playing basketball, jumping rope, or running, along with increasing fluid intake and urination, can help facilitate the expulsion of the stones. If the stones are larger, over 0.5 cm, treatment with extracorporeal shock wave lithotripsy is necessary. For stones larger than 1.5 cm, surgical intervention is required. Beyond these methods, there are no other treatments, and massage does not have a therapeutic effect.
Can chronic prostatitis lead to weak ejaculation?
Patients with chronic prostatitis, if left untreated for a long time, may experience weak ejaculation and a series of sexual dysfunctions, such as impotence and premature ejaculation. Therefore, patients with chronic prostatitis should seek timely systemic examination and treatment at local hospitals' urology or andrology departments. Prostatic fluid bacterial culture along with drug sensitivity tests should be conducted. Based on the results, the pathogen and the antibiotics it is sensitive to should be identified. Then, the selected sensitive antibiotics should be used for treatment. Patients must adhere to the treatment plan prescribed by their doctor, take medications on time and in the correct amounts, and regularly return to the hospital for follow-up evaluations.
Is it normal to have blood in urine with bladder stones?
Patients with bladder stones may experience frequent urination, painful urination, and even hematuria. These all belong to the symptoms of bladder stones, therefore, it is normal for bladder stones to cause blood in urine. The main treatment for patients with bladder stones is based on the size of the stones. For smaller bladder stones, extracorporeal shock wave lithotripsy can be used for treatment. After treatment, patients should drink plenty of water and urinate frequently at home to facilitate the expulsion of the stones, and then return to the hospital for a follow-up. For larger bladder stones, surgery is required for treatment.
Is cystoscopy necessary for cystitis?
Patients with cystitis do not need to undergo cystoscopy. The main examinations for patients with cystitis include routine urine tests, bacteriological examination of urine, routine blood tests, kidney function tests, ultrasonography of the urinary system, and X-rays including abdominal plain films. Diagnostically, it mainly depends on the patient's clinical manifestations and a comprehensive judgment based on the results of these auxiliary examinations. Patients with cystitis generally experience symptoms such as frequent urination, urgency, painful urination, and discomfort or pain in the lower abdomen and perineal area.
