Stage IA endometrial cancer
Endometrial cancer is a group of epithelial malignant tumors that occur in the endometrium. Clinically, the surgical pathology staging revised by the World Health Organization in 2000 is mainly used, based on the severity of the lesion after surgery. Endometrial cancer can be divided into four stages, where, depending on the size and severity of the lesion, it can further be classified into sub-stages a, b, and c. Stage IA refers to cancer limited to the endometrium and is the earliest stage of endometrial cancer. Stage IA endometrial cancer can be completely cured with surgical treatment.
Can uterine fibroids eat donkey-hide gelatin?
Patients with uterine fibroids can consume donkey-hide gelatin. This is because uterine fibroids often cause increased menstrual flow and prolonged menstrual periods. Due to the long-term increase in menstrual volume and duration, there is an increase in blood loss, leading to anemia. The main functions of donkey-hide gelatin are to nourish the blood, moisten dryness, and stop bleeding, making it suitable for patients with uterine fibroids. Consuming donkey-hide gelatin can alleviate the anemia and excessive menstrual bleeding caused by uterine fibroids. However, donkey-hide gelatin is relatively heaty, so it should not be consumed in excess.
Can uterine prolapse be seen with the naked eye?
Uterine prolapse occurs when the uterus descends from its normal position, falling along the vaginal opening and moving out of its normal location, with the cervix or the entire uterus reaching or completely coming out of the vaginal opening. The main causes of uterine prolapse are childbirth injuries, prolonged increased abdominal pressure, and poor development of pelvic floor tissues. In mild cases of uterine prolapse, patients mostly do not have any symptoms and the condition is only identified during a gynecological examination. However, in severe cases of uterine prolapse, patients feel a mass coming out of the vaginal opening while walking, working, or squatting, and in serious cases, the entire uterus can completely prolapse out of the vaginal opening, becoming visible to the naked eye.
How is dysmenorrhea caused by adenomyosis treated?
Adenomyosis is a condition in which active endometrial tissue invades the muscular layer of the uterus. The main symptom of adenomyosis is progressively worsening dysmenorrhea. When symptoms are mild, conservative treatments such as physical therapy, traditional Chinese medicine, or pain relief medication can be adopted. However, if the symptoms are severe and conservative treatments fail to alleviate the dysmenorrhea, surgical options may be considered. There are several surgical methods available: one is presacral neurectomy for pain relief, and another, for patients who do not require fertility, is total hysterectomy.
Is cervical erosion cervical inflammation?
Previously, cervical erosion was considered a manifestation of cervicitis. Recent research has proven that cervical erosion occurs when the epithelium inside the cervical canal grows out towards the external os and vaginal portion of the cervix, replacing the original epithelium at these sites. This results in a bright red appearance, visually similar to erosion, hence the term cervical erosion. Since the outward migration of the endometrium is a physiological phenomenon that typically retracts back into the cervical canal as age increases, cervical erosion generally does not require treatment if there is no inflammation.
Cervical erosion
Cervical erosion occurs when the epithelium inside the cervical canal grows outward to the external orifice of the cervix and the cervical part of the vagina, replacing the original epithelium of the external orifice and vaginal portion. The outward-growing epithelium from the cervical canal appears bright red, which visually resembles erosion, hence it is called cervical erosion. As the migration of the endometrium from the cervical canal is a physiological phenomenon, with increasing age, the migrated endometrium gradually retracts back into the cervical canal. Therefore, upon detecting cervical erosion, it generally only requires cytological screening and does not need treatment.
Are uterine cancer and endometrial cancer the same?
Uterine cancer is divided into cervical cancer and endometrial cancer. Cervical cancer is a malignant tumor that occurs in the epithelium and glandular tissue of the cervix, while endometrial cancer is a group of epithelial malignant tumors that occur in the endometrium. The two types of cancer differ due to their different sites of origin. Accordingly, the examination and treatment methods adopted are also not completely the same based on the different sites of origin. However, both cervical and endometrial cancers are primarily treated with surgery, followed by corresponding radiotherapy and chemotherapy.
Can endometritis be treated with injections?
Endometritis, as the name suggests, is the inflammation of the endometrium caused by pathogens, so it is necessary to use sensitive antibiotics for treatment. Endometritis generally manifests as purulent vaginal discharge, or an increase in purulent bloody discharge, tenderness in the uterine body, accompanied by increased temperature or slight fever. For endometritis, choosing a vaginal secretion smear or bacterial culture and drug sensitivity test, and using the corresponding sensitive antibiotics for infusion therapy, results in better outcomes, to avoid the progression to chronic pelvic inflammatory disease.
