What medicine is used to treat fungal vaginitis?

The clinical symptoms of yeast vaginitis include a curd-like or cottage cheese-like discharge, itching, and no foul odor. Once diagnosed with yeast vaginitis at a hospital, it is essential to treat the condition based on its specifics. Generally, a washing solution such as baking soda water can be used, and topical medications common for treating yeast vaginitis can be applied. Oral medications for yeast vaginitis can also be taken. After a week of targeted treatment, most cases tend to improve. However, this fungus is prone to recurrence, particularly around the time of menstruation, when it may flare up again. At such times, another course of treatment can be used, and generally, using the medication consecutively for three menstrual cycles can treat yeast vaginitis effectively.

Is a thick endometrium the same as cancer?

Endometrial thickening is not necessarily cancerous. Causes of endometrial thickening generally include irregular hyperplasia or endometrial polyps, both of which can lead to thickening of the endometrium, but this is not necessarily indicative of cancer. Whether it is endometrial cancer is usually determined if patients with endometrial thickening do not show clear improvement after treatment with medication. Typically, a curettage procedure is performed to collect tissue for pathological examination. If the pathology report indicates endometrial cancer or precancerous lesions, then it will be reported. Therefore, endometrial thickening is not necessarily indicative of endometrial cancer, and it can occur with conditions like endometrial polyps or irregular endometrial hyperplasia. Treatment at this stage should be based on the pathological results. Thus, while endometrial thickening should be taken seriously, it is not necessarily cancerous.

Can I eat donkey-hide gelatin with cervical polyps?

Patients with cervical polyps can consume donkey-hide gelatin (Ejiao). The formation of polyps is generally due to chronic inflammation that stimulates the occurrence of cervical polyps, and the treatment usually involves the removal of the cervical polyps. The cause of formation is not related to the consumption of Ejiao. The function of Ejiao is to nourish the blood, stop bleeding, and regulate menstruation. If the condition is due to deficiency of Qi and blood, patients can consume Ejiao. Cervical polyps are generally caused by chronic inflammation, and there is no conflict with consuming Ejiao. If patients with cervical polyps also suffer from deficiency of Qi and blood, and irregular menstruation, they can consume Ejiao, as Ejiao does not affect the polyps.

Does cervical polyp cause bleeding during intercourse?

Cervical polyps can cause bleeding during intercourse. Common causes of bleeding during intercourse seen clinically include cervical polyps, cervical erosion, cervical cancer, and precancerous lesions, all of which can cause contact bleeding during intercourse. Therefore, once contact bleeding during intercourse occurs clinically, it is essential to go to the hospital for relevant examinations. If the bleeding is caused by a cervical polyp, a cervical polypectomy must be performed. If the bleeding is due to cervical erosion, tests for cervical cancer and precancerous lesions must be conducted. If cervical cancer and precancerous conditions are ruled out, and the bleeding is caused by erosion, treatments such as laser, electrocoagulation, or cryocoagulation can be used. Furthermore, once contact bleeding during intercourse occurs, cervical cancer screening with TCT and HPV testing is essential. Treatment is generally based on the results of these two tests.

How to recover from uterine prolapse?

Uterine prolapse can be classified into first-degree, second-degree, and third-degree prolapse. Typically, first-degree prolapse is considered mild and can generally be managed with a pessary or by performing exercises to strengthen the anal levator muscles and pelvic floor rehabilitation movements, which usually achieve the treatment purpose for mild uterine prolapse. Moderate or severe uterine prolapse must be treated according to the specific condition. In cases of severe prolapse, surgical options can be considered. Common procedures include uterine ligament suspension or vaginal hysterectomy. The treatment for uterine prolapse generally depends on age. For older individuals with severe prolapse, vaginal hysterectomy is often recommended. For younger patients with severe prolapse who wish to return to normal, uterine ligament suspension surgery is generally an option.

The Harm of Candidal Vaginitis

The harm of yeast vaginitis manifests as severe itching of the vulva, which can significantly affect a patient's daily life. Therefore, yeast vaginitis has a substantial impact on the body, affecting work and studies, and must be actively treated. Clinically, yeast vaginitis presents with curd-like or cottage cheese-like vaginal discharge, which is itchy but odorless. At this time, treatment requires going to a hospital to obtain a secretion sample for testing. After confirming the diagnosis of yeast vaginitis, appropriate medication is selected based on the test results to treat the condition symptomatically. If not treated actively, yeast vaginitis may recur around the time of the next menstrual period and can worsen before and after menstruation. Thus, it is crucial to actively seek symptomatic treatment for yeast vaginitis.

Can cervical polyps affect fertility?

It is generally found that cervical polyps do not affect fertility, only endometrial polyps beneath the mucous membrane affect fertility. If a simple cervical polyp is found, it can be removed through a polypectomy, and treating inflammation symptomatically after the surgery is usually sufficient. Cervical polyps generally do not affect fertility, but those located beneath the mucous membrane do because they can disrupt the implantation of a fertilized egg in the uterine cavity by implanting at the site of the polyp, affecting embryonic blood circulation, which can lead to biochemical pregnancy or threatened miscarriage. Therefore, if endometrial polyps affect fertility, it is clear that cervical polyps do not. The treatment for cervical polyps is also quite simple and can generally be handled in the outpatient department of a hospital.

Amenorrhea is the absence of menstruation.

Amenorrhea is a type of endocrine disorder and menstrual irregularity in women. Normally, women have a menstrual period once a month. If there is no menstrual period for three consecutive months, it is medically referred to as amenorrhea. There are physiological and pathological types of amenorrhea. Physiological amenorrhea, such as during pregnancy, is normal when periods stop. Or it could be a physiological abnormality, for example, not having periods for three months during breastfeeding, which is also considered physiological. Pathological amenorrhea commonly includes conditions like intrauterine adhesions or ovarian dysfunction, premature ovarian failure, and so on. In such cases, it is necessary to visit a hospital for relevant examinations and then provide treatment based on the results of those examinations.

How to treat amenorrhea infertility?

Amenorrhea-induced infertility first requires identifying the underlying cause of the amenorrhea. If it is due to intrauterine adhesions, a hysteroscopic adhesion lysis can be performed. After surgery, promoting the development of the endometrium can normalize uterine lining growth and serve a therapeutic function. If the amenorrhea is caused by ovarian secretory dysfunction, adjusting ovarian function can help, as conditions like amenorrhea-galactorrhea syndrome and polycystic ovary syndrome are caused by amenorrhea and lead to infertility, in which case hormonal regulation can treat infertility. Amenorrhea caused by premature ovarian failure can pose significant treatment challenges if the deterioration is severe. Thus, determining the specific cause of amenorrhea is essential for targeted treatment.
